Getting ready

We heard good news this past week. We now have our appointment date!! We will meet with the Ukrainian SDA office on Thursday July 19th. This will be the appointment that gives us permission to start the process of adopting the little guy we are hoping to bring home. It feels so good to know that we will be traveling soon.

The kids are very excited. They have made their list of all the things they would like to bring along.... stuffed animals, "clothes for hot weather", a few toys. They did well getting all the essentials down on paper.

It is the parents turn now. Our list will be a bit more in depth. We are hoping to bring only backpacks and forego the checked luggage. We'll see if it will work. I believe we will be traveling in a very small car over in Ukraine. With 4 of us in the backseat and a small trunk, it would be nice to have as little baggage as possible. We'll see if we can make it work.

We're getting ready!
